Naha
Naha (那覇市; Naha-shi) is the capital and the main city of the Préfecture of Okinawa to the Japan.
In 2006 the population was estimated at 315,597 inhabitants.
The city suffered much during the Bataille from Okinawa and its center is modern.
The city was equipped with a Monorail (which would have been inaugurated in 2003).
From the port of Naha, it is possible to go in boat towards the other islands archipelago (islands Ryū-Kyū and islands Yaeyama), but also further (sea route Taiwan -- Ishigaki-jima --Naha-- … -- Osaka -- Tokyo)
In the same way, the airport of Naha is used as Plateforme of correspondence ( hub ) to join by plane the other islands of the archipelago. For travellers arriving of Japan (4 principal islands), the frequency and the prices push to pass by this airport compared to direct flights, much more expensive.
