Nagai stage
The stage Nagai - pronounced Nagaï - or (what means municipal Stade of Osaka) is a stage of Football and Athlétisme to Osaka (Japan). It is where the Cerezo Osaka plays. It has a capacity of 50.000 spectators.
Built in 1964 at the time of the Olympic Games of Tokyo and entirely restructured in 1996 with a project of 380 million dollars, Nagai Stadium is oldest of the stages used in 2002 for the Football world cup. It was the principal stage of the 52e National Sports Festival off Japan in 1997. It accommodated some matches Football world cup of 2002 as well as the Championnats of the world of athletics in 2007.
At the time of the candidature of Osaka for the organization of the Olympic Games of 2008 (finally allotted to Beijing, to see Candidatures for the Olympic Games of 2008), it was the sporting center suggested to accommodate them.
