Nafana
The Nafanas live in the North-West of the Ghana and the North-East of the Ivory Coast. They are approximately 61.000 (GILLBT 2003), their language is the Nafaanra, a Langue Senufo.
Nafanas tell that they come from Ivory Coast, more precisely of the village of Kakala. According to Jordan (1978), their history (of Oral tradition) known as that of Nafanas are always over there, and that if they go back there they will not be authorized to return. They arrived in the area of Bandaged after Ligbis, which according to Stahl (2004) came from Begho (Beghu) at the beginning of the 17th century.
