Nadežda Petrović , НадеждаПетровић in Serb Cyrillic, born the October 12th 1873 with Čačak and dead the April 3rd 1915 with Valjevo, is a Serb painter .

Considered the Serb female painter most important of the end of, Petrović was also known like the the most famous fauvist of Serbia.

Its paintings are dominated by broad surfaces, and its preferred colors: hot red and supplementing green. Its work is often separate in eras according to its residences: the period of Munich (1898-1903), the Serb period (1903-1910), the Parisian period (1910-1912) and the period of war (1912-1915). Its force and courage in the life are obvious in several of its paintings.
