The grounds of the commune are sprinkled by the Saison (affluent of the Gave d' Oloron) and by its tributaries, the brooks Laxubie (11,3 km), of Larrunduigt and Bédat.The brook Hourquet, tributary of the brook Lafaure (16,6 km), another affluent of the Season, also crosses the territory of the commune.

Toponymy
The toponym Nabas appears in the forms Navars (XIe century, according to Pierre de Marca), Navas (1376, censier of Béarn), the nau of Nabas (vat over the Season, 1542, reformation of Béarn), Nabaas and the St. Lawrence de Nabas (respectively 1610 and 1656, insinuations of the diocese of Oloron).
History
Paul Raymond note which the commune counted a laic abbey, vassal of the Viscount of Béarn.The Baronnie of Nabas, going back to 1646, included/understood Nabas and Bisqueis (hamlet of Charre).
