Naï Khanom Tom
Naï Khanom Tom was a soldier Inhabitant of Thailand famous for his exploits counter the Burmese armies.
But in 1767, it was captured and imprisoned by the enemy armies during the plundering of the old capital Inhabitant of Thailand, Ayutthaya. In 1774, it took part in tournaments organized by the Burmese soldiers and fought ten the best enemy soldiers. King Mangra of Burma was one of the first to applaud the winner of the tournament and its freedom returned to him.
Quotation of king Mangra at the time of the victory of Naï Khanom Tom: " Each part of this inhabitant of Thailand is blessed with venom. Even with its naked hands, it can make fall new or ten adversaries ". Following his victory, the king returned his freedom to him and returned to the capital as hero.
Nowadays
Today still, Naï Khanom Tom is a warrior venerated by the whole of the practitioners. One feastday, " The Night of Boxeurs" , was even founded, which is, obviously, the occasion to organize large combat.
