NOCC

NOCC is a Webmail (i.e. an interface Web to consult its email), initiated by Olivier Cahagne and Nicolas Chalanset, writes first of all in Perl under the name of Epimail, then reprogrammed in PHP4 under the name of NOCC ( NR icolas O livier C halanset C ahagne).

It supports protocols IMAP (protected or not), POP3 (protected or not) and smtp (with or without authentification). The generated pages are with Strict format XHTML 1.1, with the use of some Javascript functions in order to facilitate certain treatments.

Its objective is to provide a light webmail, depend on the more possible small number of modules PHP (to date only modules IMAP for the recovery of the emails and ICONV for the management of the character sets are necessary).

To note, NOCC functions in UTF-8: the files of language are in UTF-8, and the received emails are converted into UTF-8 before posting. Moreover, it is compatible with all the versions of PHP since PHP 4.1.0.

Because it is a Free software under license LPG, it is adaptable to any kind of architecture.
