NKVD (НКВД) is the acronym of Narodnii Komissariat Vnoutrennikh Diél (in Russian: Народныйкомиссариатвнутреннихдел, in French: Police station of the people inside). in the ex- the USSR, Political police which was created in 1934 following the Guépéou, before being itself replaced in 1946 by the creation of MVD.
