NGC 4216

NGC 4216 is a barred Spiral galaxy almost seen by the section. Its brilliant star bar is visible on both sides of the core.

It is located in the Virgo Cluster at a distance from 50 million light-years. It has an apparent angular dimension of 8,1 ' by 1,8 ' of angle.

One will notice the presence of PGC 39247, a small galaxy of magnitude 15,1.

NGC 4216 is a galaxy of the " type; SBb" according to the Classification of Hubble.

Its magnitude is of 10,9.
