NCSM

Canadian Navire of Its Majesty is the French-speaking designation carried by the ships of the marine of the Canadian Forces (and the Canadian royal Marine before 1968). The usual abbreviation is " NCSM".

In English, designation " HMCS" change with each time the Head of Canadian State (the king or the queen of the Canada) changes sex. His Majesty' S Canadian Ship if the Head of State is a king, and Her Majesty' S Canadian Ship if the Head of State is a queen. On the other hand, the abbreviation remains the same one.
