NAVECO

NAVECO Ltd. is a joint venture sino-Italian between the Chinese manufacturer Nanjing Motor Group Company and the Italian group FIAT - Iveco.

NAVECO is a component of FIAT China.

It is a complete manufacturer of light commercial vehicles and engines. The offer of products includes/understands more than 200 models out of six segments going from 3 to 6 tons of PTC. The range includes minibuses, commercial vehicles, military 4x4 any grounds, versions and special vehicles.

NAVECO was created in 1986 in the beginning to be a technical collaboration and commercial with Iveco for manufacture, under license, certain models of the range Iveco Daily of 1st generation, by Yuejin Trucks.

In 1996, with the liberalization of the overseas investments in China, this agreement transformed into joint-venture for manufacture by Iveco, in China, of 20.000 specimens per annum of all the range Iveco Daily, vans, trucks bucket and minibus. The annual turnover exceeds 600 million US$, according to the value granted to the Chinese currency.

Yuejin Motor (Group) Corporation

Yuejin Motor Group is one of the Chinese industrial independent groups. Currently Yuejin Motor Group has an annual production capacity of 200.000 vehicles of any kinds with three principal operational companies: Nanjing Yuejin, Nanjing Iveco and Nanjing-FIAT.

Nanjing Automobile Corporation markets Yuejin manufacture, mark specialized in the commercial vehicles and the average trucks tonnage.

Currently, Yuejin Motor Group has a range which covers a very broad panel of models including/understanding of the light utilities, of the trucks tonnage means, the minibuses, the 4x4, the minibuses and special constructions.

Automobile Nanjing Group Corporation

Nanjing Automobile Group Corporation (Yuejin Motor Group Corporation) is a Chinese government enterprise which employs more than 16,000 people. Founded in 1947 it is the most former Chinese manufacturer of cars. The industrial site is established on a surface of 400 ha, its production capacity is approximately 200,000 vehicles per annum. The production includes/understands the particular sector cars, the small trucks and the buses.

The history of Nanjing Automobile (Group) Corporation goes back to 1947. It is on March 10th, 1958 that the company manufactured the first light truck of China. Consequently the factory was authorized to manufacture motor vehicles and the company Nanjing Automobile Works was born.

Between the years 1958 and 1979, Nanjing will remain in a position of quasi monopoly in the sector of the cars in China. In 1980, to satisfy the request, Nanjing the first diesel engine will install on a commercial vehicle.

The new NAVECO

Very satisfied with the quality of their relations, the associates developed this J.V and on September 14th, 2006, they decided the fusion of Yuejin in NAVECO which becomes thus the principal manufacturer of the country.

Yuejin had a capacity of construction of 40.000 unités/an and its integration in NAVECO will make it possible to reach the 100.000 units from here 2008. All the Yuejin range will be equipped with modern technologies Iveco.

Iveco thus widens its presence in Asia and China particularly in the sector of the light industrial vehicles and of average tonnage with the Naveco news.

Iveco, subsidiary of the Group FIAT S.p.A., signed a contract with Nanjing Automotive Corporation (NAC), which allows him the recovery by Naveco, of all the activities of Yuejin Motor Company, in the field of the industrial vehicles.

This agreement consolidates the relations between the group FIAT SpA and the group NAC but also with the leaders of the Local authorities of Jangsu and the Municipality of Nanchin, with which FIAT maintenance of excellent relations since two decades. The Group FIAT is present in the province of Jiangsu with its subsidiary companies FIAT Auto, Iveco, Magneti-Marelli and Teksid.

Naveco thus takes the leadership of the market in the segments of the light commercial vehicles and average tonnages. But that will make it possible Iveco to have a complete range of industrial vehicles in China when one adds the heavy range which will be manufactured in Chongqing within the framework of the J.V SAIC Iveco.

The Naveco news integrates current manufacture of the Daily with the productions of Yuejin, for which a serious plan of handing-over on level with the contribution of Iveco technologies is committed.
