Némésis is a novel of Science-fiction writes by Isaac Asimov in 1989.
Summary
Whereas the space conquest starts, a human colony flees the Earth to settle close to an other star: Némésis. But quickly the elites of this new arch discover that Némésis moves right towards the Earth and that it will cause its destruction. In impossibility of warning the Earth, they seek the means of avoiding this catastrophe.
And if the solution came from Erythro, the strange planet which the men decided to explore, or then this little girl who seems to have strange goods capacities…
Le Monde
It would seem that Isaac Asimov wanted to integrate Némésis into the remainder of its work, also one finds there some key elements such as the Robot S.
The world described is rather not very advanced here compared to other works of Science-fiction since Humanity is only at its beginnings of space exploration and the few artificial colonies launched in space remain resolutely attached to the Earth.
The planetary intelligence of Erythro is remarkable. The planet manages to communicate and interfere with the human ones; even if it is about Micro-organisme S which forms a kind of collective intelligence, the idea of a whole planet which communicates (even if it is not new --> to see Hypothèse Gaïa) is interesting.
