Négritos
The term Négritos indicates populations such as:
- the Aeta, the Batak and at least 25 other groups of the Filipino ,
- the Semang of the Malayan Peninsula,
- the Mani of Thailand,
- the Taron of Burma,
- the Andamanais autochtones.
Négritos are probably the inhabitants Indigène S of the Southeast Asia.
The word négrito is the diminutive shape of Spanish negro and thus means “small Black”. They are the first Spanish visitors of Philippines who called these populations thus, thinking that they came from Africa because of their Phénotype.
Size of the Pygmy S, Négritos are among the smallest people, of number as in the face and the least known. They have among the genetic whole purest of DNA mitochondrial (mtDNA) of humanity. Their mtDNA is thus useful basic for the study of the genetic drifts
Négritos of Philippines know fire. Semang of Malaysia manufactured clothing starting from bark of tree beaten and lived as well in caves as shelters of foliage.
The inhabitants of the islands Andaman did not know fire.
Certain anthropologists arrange Négritos in a unit vaster than they call " veddoïde ".
