Nèpe
The nèpe ( Nepa cinerea ) is a large watery bug of the ponds and stretch of water not very deep.
The short antennas are sheltered in small cavities between the head and the thorax. The forefeet are kidnappers whereas the two other pairs do not present an adaptation particular to the stroke.
This bug is predatory and can even seize Alevin S. Its displacements are however rather slow. Its color enables him to pass unperceived in the encumbered muddy vegetable remains zones that it affectionate. It breathes via a caudal siphon while going back periodically to surface. Its puncture is considered painful.
