Næglind/Nægling

Næglind/Nægling (of the Old norrois Nagli : nail) is a legendary sword, the second of Beowulf.

Presentation

In the beginning, it named Naglhring: sword of Grim de Thiðrek (in the saga of the same name), forged, then flown by the Alfrek dwarf.

Beowulf recovers it in the treasure of the mother of Grendel. No other warrior whom him could not have raised it in a battle, and it is with it that he kills the dragon.
