Jean-Christophe Grangé is a Journaliste, international reporter international, writer, Scénariste born the July 15th 1961 with Paris. It is one of the rare French writers in the field it thriller to be itself made a name in the United States.

Biography

After a control of letters to the Sorbonne (centered on Gustave Flaubert), he becomes copywriter, then works for an news agency. In 1989, at 28 years, it becomes international reporter international, working for magazines as various as Paris-Match , the Sunday Times or the National Geographic .

Then he becomes freelance journalist ( on his own account ) by créeant the company L & G. As from this moment there, he will manage to financially assemble all its voyages itself. The reports which of it will result, will lead it to the four corners of the world and will constitute, later, an important source of inspiration for its literary writings. It is during this period that it will obtain two important rewards in the journalistic world: the Price Reuter (1991) and the World Price Close (1992).

In 1994, it writes its first novel the Flight of the storks, more noticed by the literary critics (who praise his “imagination fertilizes”) that by the general public. However, its second novel published in 1998, the Rivers crimsons , will not pass unperceived. Besides success near the public will be confirmed in 2000, year when the novel is adapted to the cinema.

In this same year 2000 appears the Council of Pierre , in 2003, it publishes the Empire of the wolves and in 2004 leaves the black Line . On the level of the sales, success is not contradicted.

Parallel to its career of novelist, it continues has to work for the cinema: in addition to the original screenplay of the rivers crimsons already quoted, he also wrote that of Vidocq (of Jean-Christophe Comar known as " Pitof " - 2001) and collaborated in all the achievements or projects drawn from its novels.

Whereas he states more not to want to make original screenplays for the cinema, he launched out in the writing of an original history for a cartoon the Curse of Zener (of Philippe Adamov)

He currently writes a trilogy of novels on the “comprehension of the evil in all his forms” , started with the black Line in 2004.

The second shutter of this trilogy is entitled the Oath of the Limbs and left in March 2007 (Editions Albin Michel).
