The family of the Blandfordiacées is a family of plants Monocotylédone S which includes/understands only 4 Espèce S pertaining to the kind Blandfordia .
They are plants herbaceous, perennial, generally with rivet washer, tuberoses or with thickened root, the inflorescences in racèmes. This family is endemic of Australia and Tasmanie.
This family does not exist in traditional classification of Cronquist (1981), which assigns these plants with the Liliacée S.
The phylogenetic classification APG (1998) separated this family and attached the family to the order of the Asparagales .
This modification was preserved in phylogenetic classification APG II (2003).
