The family of the Myricaceae , or Myricacées, is a family of plants Dicotylédone S including/understanding 40 Espèce S divided into 4 kind S.
They are trees or shrubs, some with persistent sheets, largely widespread except in North Africa.
The kinds are met:
- Canacomyrica
- Comptonia with the voyageuse Comptonie ( Comptonia peregrina )
- Scale
- Myrica , certain species provides scented wax, edible fruits and is a source of tannin.
- Morella , with the Tree with tallow for example.
In France, it is the family of the royal Piment ( Myrica scale ) with the strongly aromatic foliage. The monoïques plants can change one year sex on the other.
The phylogenetic Classification place this family in the order of the Fagales.
