Myriam posters
The posters Myriam are the various posters of an advertizing campaign of the Avenir bill-poster, published in France at the beginning of September 1981.
At the end of August 1981, the billboards of Paris and other towns of France are covered with a Affiche with the photograph of a pretty young woman in bikini, on bottom of beach. Myriam (it will be learned later that it is its first name) announces: " September 2nd, I remove the haut". Not other indication on the poster, which intrigues the passers by.
The September 2nd, even posts, with this close Myriam has, indeed, except the top of its bathing suit, revealing its chest. And announces: " September 4th, I remove the bas". Agitation at the city and in the media: everyone waits impatiently and/or indignation two days later.
September 4th, Myriam removes indeed bottom. But this time, photography is taken back. The purpose of this countryside was to support the slogan: " Future, the bill-poster who holds his promesses." This advertizing campaign enormously made speak about it and is at the origin of the expressions: “ tomorrow, I remove the top ” and “ tomorrow, I remove bottom ”
The photographs were taken by Jean-François Jonvelle, fashion photographer and of charm, and Myriam was not other than his/her boyfriend, who replaced with the foot raised the mannequin initially planned for the countryside.
