Myriam Abel

Myriam Abel , of his true name Myriam Abdelhamid , is a French singer , of origin kabyle, born the May 15th 1981 with Large-Combe the (Gard). It was revealed with the public by the French emission Nouvelle Star , of which it gained the third edition.

Biography

Myriam starts to sing at the 10 years age and, as of the 13 years age, it takes part in contests of song by taking again its idols of the time: Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Gave Summer, Tina Turner and Madonna. She then decides to take courses of song to association “the Voices of Gold”, with Indira Henni which becomes also its artistic director. Contest in concerts through France, Myriam Abel saw his first televisual experiment then, at the time of a Radio-hook in Paris, televised on France 3: the May 2nd 1997, it passes thus in the emission I pass on TV. The public votes to 93% for it, and gives to Myriam a certain notoriety.

Consequently, the official receptions are connected. Myriam sings with known orchestras, like those of Gilles Pellegrini or Rene coll. It is also selected for the final of I on TV pass the June 17th 1997, in which it finishes first. The young person Type-setter Tristan Fedoras the remark then and contacts Indira Henni in 1997. He writes some titles for Myriam, which do not hold the attention of the recording companies. He becomes also his new manager and then proposes to him to concentrate on its own musical style. Together, they record its first new songs. Tristan learns how to him to control its vibrato and its harmonics. To hope for more outlets than in the South of France, it also decides to take along Myriam to Paris as of its majority.

While waiting, Tristan presents Myriam to the selection Graines of star , the October 9th 1998 with Beaune (Coast-with Or). Myriam gains the contest vis-a-vis 70 candidates. But the production of M6 decides at the same period that the emission from now on will be devoted only to the juniors, which eliminates Myriam. In December 1998, it records new titles composed by Tristan Fedoras, whose song the children will be kings . This title enables him to be selected for the contest of the Rose d' Or of Antibes , the July 2nd 1999. Myriam finishes second.

In September 1999, it starts to sing in American Dream, then, six months later, to the Three Mailletz, two Parisian restaurants. Two months later, it is chosen by Disney for the interpretation of the song When it still liked me , title of the original soundtrack of Toy Story 2 . She carries then the pseudonym of Myriam Morea.

In January 2000, Myriam takes part in the evening of KKL to the Sport hall in first part of Larusso. It meets on this occasion the producers of Gloria Gaynor, with which it works during two years. They record together several songs of which Like I love you , that she interprets at the time of the Chance with the songs the October 19th 2000, but which will be finally published into individual only in 2001, for Loana.

In 2003, it returns in the orchestra Festival Mibely , which still enables him to work its insurance and its control of the scene. It takes part in the same period with the casting of To the research of the Nouvelle Star , where it is eliminated as of the first stage from the selections in Marseilles. It retente its chance at the time of the third edition of the TV-hook of M6, this time successfully. With the wire of the weeks, it makes proof, during its interpretations of titles to sonorities Soul, of a vocal talent which fills with enthusiasm the jury and allows him to gain the play, vis-a-vis Pierrick Lilliu, in June 2005.

It thus gains the possibility of recording an album at Sony BMG. However, the contract that Myriam had previously signed with Outcom Production and Mr Cunny is made public, which is on the one hand contrary with the payment of the emission (reserved to the amateurs), and prevents on the other hand the fast exit of an album with Sony BMG (thus, it is the finalist Pierrick Lilliu which leaves its album in first, as of the month of September 2005).

Despite everything, Myriam, which chooses from now on the pseudonym of Myriam Abel, leaves its first individual, Donne at the end of 2005. It is signed Lara Fabian and Jean-Felix Lalanne and moves away clearly from sonorities until the public could wait. In addition, the title is withdrawn from the waves by BMG before being again diffused, because of legal problems. The album the life in front of you leaves finally the December 26th 2005, with nearly two months of delay. Entered ninth of the sales of albums to France, the album is however far from being the success hoped by the chain. Myriam Abel decides recadrer a little his musical image by taking again the title Baby edge I hold you of Tracy Chapman during the summer 2006, while benefitting from the promotion of the new edition of Nouvelle Star . The album is republished with this title, which does not meet a massive success. Finally, only Gives reached the statute of money disc, for more than 100.000 sold specimens.

Currently Myriam prepares its second album which should be born at the end of 2007.
