Myotis emarginatus

The murine with indented ears ( Myotis emarginatus ), or vespertilion with indented ears , is a Chauve-souris Myotis .

It is a twilight species and nocture with the fast and nimble flight.

  • Distribution: Central and southernmost Europe, North Africa and Middle-East.

  • Size: body from 8,5 to 9,5 cm

  • Scale: 22 to 24 cm

  • Weight: 8 to 10 G

  • Habitat: wooded places and park.

  • Food: arthropods in flight or in the trees.

  • Reproduction: gestation from 50 to 60 days, only one young person per annum, births in June - July.

  • Longevity: up to 16 years
