Myocarditis
The myocarditis is an inflammatory attack acute, subacute or chronicle of the Myocarde, sometimes due to a rheumatoid arthritis streptococcic acute, with a Scarlatine, a viral Infection or with the Syphilis.
It is characterized by an infiltration of the Myocarde by the lympho-plasmocytes, a variety of white globules or sometimes by the Macrophage S, another variety of white globules. It is accompanied in addition by a multiplication of the conjunctive cells which is a variety of fabrics containing of the Protéine S and entering the composition of the majority of fabrics of the organization. Toxic proteins are thus released coming to deteriorate the operation of the heart by causing sometimes zones of Nécrose S.
The Myocardite S of viral origin (Coxsackie has virus) can reassign spontaneously without leaving after-effects.
This Inflammation is often characterized by a thoracic Douleur, frequently accompanied by a rise in the body temperature (Hyperthermie), by a fast pulse and a reduction in the blood Pressure. If it is serious, the deterioration of cardiac operation can be at the origin of a cardiac arrest.
One differentiates:
- the disease of Lyme ,
- the diphteric myocarditis ,
- the myocarditis of Fiedler ,
- the Disease of Chagas ,
- the myocarditis with giant cells ,
- the nonspecific myocarditis ,
- the pigmentary myocarditis ,
- the primitive subacute myocarditis of Tripe butcher and Gallavardin ,
- the myocarditis of the young subject .
For having been victim of an acute myocarditis, it is necessary:
- to start by limiting the physical-activity,
- to begin a treatment ethiotropic to decrease the activity of the heart,
- not to forget that the patients reached of acute myocarditis are sensitive to glucosides (the incurred risk being an intoxication with glucosides),
- in certain cases, to practice an immunosuppressive therapy (azathioprine, cyclosporine, prednidazol).
