Mylonite
see also: Etymology of Mylonite
The Mylonite is a cataclastic Roche obtained following the more or less fine crushing of a rock, magmatic or metamorphic origin, and its elements, reduced in small angular, twisted and stretched remains so much so that the original crystals are not identifiable any more with the naked eye. Only the microscope will reveal the cataclastic structure.
There can have been recrystallization also.
This rock defines the cataclastic Métamorphisme.
Example: crystals émiettés out of remains twisted and drawn bars, included in cement of quartz, Sericite and Chlorite.
