Mylabris variabilis

Mylabris variabilis is an insect of the family Méloidés. They were identified by Peter Simon Pallas in 1781.

Characteristics

These Coléoptère S makes from 7 to 16 millimetres length. They are very close to the Mylabris pannonica and have also élytre S brown-yellow with broad corrugated black stripes. It are distinguished however from the close species by a black stripe under their bodies.

Geographical distribution

These animals are distributed Mediterranean basin with the basin pannonien of the the Danube until in Hungary and Czech Republic, where they are by very frequent places. They are also present in Austria. They fly from June at September.
