Mylène Gilbert-Dumas

Mylène Gilbert-Dumas is a novelist Quebec oise. She was born with Sherbrooke, in the area of the Estrie.

Biography

It started to write whereas it was a young teenager. She is moved with Quebec at age the 17 years and she studied with the Université Laval where she was initially registered in genius, before moving towards the teaching of French. She then worked in an anglophone school located on northern bank of Quebec. She lived in this city during twenty years and she is recently turned over to live in Sherbrooke with her spouse Pierre Weber and their daughter, ARIANE.

Mylène Gilbert-Dumas wrote four novels for adults based on historical facts. Initially, its trilogy the ladies of Beauchêne introduces three women to us who try to live a happy destiny in Quebec in spite of the Guerre Seven Year old which prevails. Its novel 1704 , as for him, is founded on a legend which took origin with Sherbrooke. This time, they are French and the Indians who attack and who make prisoners.

Its historical novels are told so as to include/understand the actions of each clan and to see the emotions which live any human being vis-a-vis the war, that it is a civilian or a soldier. Skilfully fictionalized, they put in scene unions which are created and break, because each one must make its life in spite of the war. The two accounts introduce in apron women débrouillardes and valiant who lost an important man in their life. In both cases, they try to find happiness and never not to lose confidence.

Its very first work, the ladies of Beauchêne Volume 1 , was initially refused by eleven editors. It worked again there, then vlb editor accepted to publish it.

Mylène Gilbert-Dumas also wrote two novels youth of any other kind. In 2003, it published Mystique , a fantastic novel. The author gave to the main character of this history the name of his daughter, ARIANE. supernatural Roleplay and events intermingles there. He is intended the 13 year old to teenagers and more. For its part, its second novel youth, Rhapsody gipsy , put in scene a fifteen year old teenager who will inherit 400.000$ in quite strange conditions. He is intended the eleven year old to young people and more.
