My uncle

My uncle is a Film French carried out by Jacques Tati, made in 1956 and 1957 and left in 1958.

Synopsis

Mr Arpel, “new rich person” proud of his barded futuristic house of technological gadgets to the improbable utility, wants to prevent that his/her brother-in-law, Mr. Hulot, character dreamer and Bohemian, does not influence his son. He will try to entrust an employment in his factory to him before moving away it.

Comments

The film opposes a world emerging, - where to appear it takes a place which one can consider excessive: Mr. Arpel reprimand his wife to make function the fountain of their garden at the time when it returns at his place (“it is not worthwhile, see, it is me! ”), and where one asepticizes to bread slices of bread, - and traditional Paris such as there still existed at the beginning of the Années 1950. Later, it is indignant at what Hulot finally succeeded in calming down in a particularly uncomfortable settee… while placing it on its section.
