My electric currents

My electric currents is the second album of Alizée, published in March 2003. Just like its first album, Delicacies , My electric currents… completely is written and composed by Mylène Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat, which also produces it.

Launched by individual the I have some enough! , the album leaves whereas Alizée promoted its first title, Me… Lolita in many countries of Europe and Asia. For this international public, four titles are recorded in English: I have some enough! (I' m EDF up!) , Amélie told me (Amélie) , I am not twenty years old! (I' m not twenty!) and Youpidou (Youpidoo) . These english language versions are not reproduced on the French album, even if two of them constitute the “faces B” of two of the individual extracts of the album. They are on the other hand integrated into the international version of the album, with the original versions, gathered at the end of the track-listing. Another version adds the tube Me… Lolita in no-claims bonus-track, while the Japanese version takes again the French album (in which I have some enough! is entitled My foam bath ), by adding to it only the english language version of My foam bath .

The album knows a pretty career in Europe and Asia, but very far from the paperboard built by Gourmandises . In France, My electric currents… is certified double disc of gold. On the whole, more: 400000 specimens were sold. Only three individual is extracted from the album, with a measured success, in spite of a rather important promotion campaign. Geostrophic defends this album and its predecessor at the time of a round started in Olympia in August 2003.
