My Newspaper

More known under the name of My newspaper , this editor was called in fact Aventures and Voyages (at least until 1991 when it took the name of My newspaper Multimédias for the STRIP CARTOONS part).

History

Origins

It is Bernadette Ratier which is at the origin of this new publisher in August 1946. It starts while launching My newspaper , a weekly magazine in large size which will give its name to the famous collection. 86 numbers later (from August 8th, 1946 to April 22nd, 1948), the house " Editions Adventures and voyages" is created and the weekly magazine yielded its place to reviews with the average formats (more commonly called Complete Récits) such as Brik , Yak, then Brik-Yak (drawn by Jean Cézard) Marco Polo or Diavolo . The format will decrease a little with Dakota or Biribu before passing to the pocket format in the middle of the Fifties while the pagination increased.

The golden age

The titles multiply with a majority of foreign bands of origin various (Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Argentina, etc), but as some local authors or some bands as the editor makes realize abroad like Akim , Ivanhoé or Lancelot . Quickly, the French draftsmen will not have any more their special place Michel-Paul Giroud like substitute in some reviews. Scenario writers continuing to work for a few series headlights like Ivanhoé , Lancelot or Sunny Sun .

Decline

To beginning of the year 80, the business is yielded to Christian Chalmin then with a group of investors who, victims of the disaffection of the public, explosion of the course of paper and for lack of competence, will make fall the sales.

In 1991, the goodwills concerning the cartoons was yielded to My Newspaper Multimedia (Group Holding Edition Delivers Press) which republishes some old reviews: Akim and Capt' Ain Swing since April 1994 in spite of the failure of Ivanhoé which knew only one transitory rebirth from January in October 2000 for 10 small numbers.

In March 2004, Akim stopped in its turn after 120 numbers. To date, there thus remain nothing any more but Capt' Ain Swing like small size. Would this be the one time end?

Editions Adventures and Voyages

In 1988 the company of the Editions Adventures and Voyages (Group Holding Edition Delivers Presse/H.E.L.P., also owner of My Newspaper) lance magazines for teenagers SUPER and SIGNAL SECRECIES (First title French small size for teenagers with more produced) then " HITS" SMASH; and " BIG". It is also at the origin of monthly magazine on the animals " MAG ANIMAL" , in 1990 the magazine " repurchases; PRATIQUE" WOMAN; , then the magazine " Internet REPORTER" (First French monthly magazine on Internet), the magazines " KOP FOOTBALL" , " HEBDO" TENNIS SHOE; and " INFO" CYCLING; are created thereafter. In 2000 the company of the Editions Adventures and Voyages is put in liquidation.
