MxPx

MxPx is a group of punk founded in 1993 in the town of Bremerton (Washington, the United States), not far from Seattle. The formation is made up of the singer and bass player Mike Herrera, the beater Yuri Ruley and the Andy guitarist.

With its formation, the group names Magnified Plaid whereas the members all are at the secondary school. Andy is quickly replaced by Tom Wisniewski and before even being in age to drive a car, the trio counts already several individual of 7 inches to its credit just as a first album, Pokinatcha , launched on label Tooth & Nail Records.

The disc quickly becomes more sold label and conduit at the exit of a second album " Teenage Politics ". Popular near the amateurs of skate-board and surfing, the group also enjoys an enviable reputation in the scene underground. It is however with Life in General , published in 1996, that the group leaves the shade.

The success of Life in General enables him to sign a contract with A&M which launches, in 1998, Slowly Going the Way off the Buffalo which is followed, the following year by At the Show . In 2000, MxPx proposes The Ever Passing Moment . In order to celebrate its ten years of existence, the group launches the album compilation Ten Years and Running in 2002. With the autumn 2003, MxPx is of return with Before Everything & After . Then in 2006, the trio continues to explode the charts with its new opus Panic
