Mwami
The Mwami is the royal title in Kinyarwanda, in Kirundi, language Nande and Bashi (Congo) like in other languages bantoues like Tonga spoken in Zambia and with the Zimbabwe.
Carried the title of Mwami:
- the king of the Rwanda;
- the king of the Burundi;
- traditional chiefs of the small kingdoms of the North-Kivu, the South-Kivu and the Maniema in current the Democratic republic of Congo;
- traditional chiefs of the Bantu Botatwe (litt. the three people ) in Zambia, i.e. the tribes Ila, Lenje and Tonga.
