Muy
Muy is a common French located in the department of the Var and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure.
Geography
The Muy is located between the communes of La Motte, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, Plan-of-the-Turn and Vidauban.The commune is served by the following transportation routes:
- Trunk road 7;
- Highway A8;
- the line the SNCF Paris - Vintimille (the station of Muy being unused).
The rivers Argens, Nartuby and Endre sprinkle the commune.
History
In 1536, the inhabitants of the commune of Muy engarèrent a resistance against the invasion of the Provence by the emperor Charles Quint.Among the great events of its History, the commune of Muy was also the theater of the parachuting of soldier at the time of the Débarquement of Provence in the night of the August 15th 1944.
