Musquash

Musquash is a Canadian parish Comté of Saint John, in the south-east of the New Brunswick.

Geography

Musquash is delimited in the west by the county of Charlotte, in north by the county of Kings and in the east by the town of Midsummer's Day. The parish is bordered in the south by the Baie of Fundy. It does not contain any city, village or Indian reserve.

The relief is irregular and the culminating point is the Harvey hill, with 120 meters of altitude. The littoral is quite as irregular and counts many points, handles, harbor, bays and rocks.

The area is rather marshy. On tens of lakes qu ecompte the parish, the principal ones are the Loch Alva, the tank of the Branch Is of Musquash and the tank of the Western Branch.

The principal river is the Musquash and its broad estuary where it is thrown in the Baie of Fundy.

The majority of the territory in the north of the highway are protected by the provincial Protected area from the Log Alva.

On the banks of Musquash are the hamlets of Musquash , South Musquash , Five Fathom Hole and Prince off Wales .
At the edge of bay of Fundy are, of west in is, Dipper Harbor Is and Dipper Harbor Western , Chance Harbor and Goosbery Cove .
At the western end, on the Small Lepreau River, the hamlet of Little Lepreau rises.

Demography

According to the census of Statistical Canada, the parish counted 1235 inhabitants in 2006, compared to 1280 in 2001, that is to say a fall of 3,5%. The parish counts 571 private residences, has a surface of 233,45 kilometers and a Population density of 5,3 inhabitants to the kilometer.

Infrastructures

The parish is the site of the Nuclear plant of the Point Lepreau.

The highway 1 crosses the territory.
