Musicography

The musicography indicates in French the activity which consists in publishing texts on the music, without claiming with a scientific step and musicologic.

The word musicographe appeared before musicography , to indicate those which wrote on the music. These people were often critical musical but were interested in the Histoire of the music or the traditional musics.

The border between musicography and musicology is sometimes rather fuzzy and the distinction is not always present in the other languages.
