Musical Royal circle of Aubange

The musical royal Cercle saw the day with Aubange in 1854.

The company presents today an important manpower of an about sixty musicians, all amateurs, whose average age rises in this year 2005 with less than 30 years. The C.R.M. is also composed of a board of management, a musical commission and a committee of honor.

Since May 1st 1994, the direction of the CRM is entrusted to the major Alain Crepin, director of the royal music of the Belgian Air force, chance single for the company aubangeoise, which continues its development vigorously.

Since March 8th, 1987, the company is chaired by Christian Lorgé, in addition also president of the Musical Federation of Belgian Luxembourg.

The CRM is very active and takes part regularly in the local activities and animations, services which its persons in charge regard as a duty to return to the community aubangeoise. At the same time, the CRM does not fail to take part in many regional, national and international activities.

In 2004, the CRM celebrated its 150e birthday. The opening of the festivities was given by a concert of official reception the March 27th. Afterwards, they are 22 local harmonies - for a total of approximately 1.200 musicians - who followed one another at the time of three gatherings of harmony, with in point of organ the concert of the October 23rd which saw the 4 harmonies aubangeoises meeting for a joint concert (120 musicians on scene sharing same passion).

The April 30th 2006, the CRM renewed the contest of the musical Fédération of Belgian Luxembourg, and was seen obtaining 95% with great distinction with the division of honor. It is the sixth time that the CRM obtains this classification, since 1985, after presentation of 6 contests of classification, proof of the great stability of the company. The next contest is envisaged in 2010.
