Museum of Resistance and the Deportation
The museum of Resistance and the Deportation is located at Angouleme, in the department of the Charente. It presents the chronology of the rise of the Nazisme then of the invasion.
It recalls the time of the Line of demarcation in Charente, the collaboration and the beginning of the Résistance with the creation of the maquis.
It presents also repression, the deportation, and finishes by FFL and the combat liberators.
On 400 m2 of exposure, hundreds of objects, weapons, mannequins, photographs and documents of time illustrate these various topics.
