Museum of Marrakech
The museum of Marrakech , located beside the Medersa Ben Youssef, is superb a Palais established on a piece of 2108 m ² and equipped with vast and comfortable a Patio of 709 m ², typical of the Moorish art , transformed into deprived Musée and place of reception of activities Culture them.
This old Mnebbi palate, remains built at the end of the 19th century, was restored and rehabilitated in museum by Omar Benjelloun, which was a large collector and patron Morocco Ain. The museum of Marrakech is financed and managed by the Fondation Omar Benjelloun.
This museum organizes since 1995 only temporary Exposition S around the Contemporary art or of the Moroccan cultural heritage. To the ground floor are exposed objects of hammered copper, weapons and jewels Berbère S and clothing. The objects are still used and carried in the mountains.
The living room of the first stage is of a decoration Hispano-Moorish and pieces of furniture of cedar.
