Museum Paula Modersohn-Becker
The museum Paula Modersohn-Becker ( Paula Modersohn-Becker German Museum in ) is a Musée located at Bremen on the famous street Böttcherstraße , in Germany. He proposes a selection of some of the best tables of the painter expressionnist Paula Modersohn-Becker.
History
The museum and its building of style expressionnist owe their existence with an initiative of the local patron Ludwig Roselius, which charged Bernhard Hoetger tracing the plans with it and installed its personal collection of fabrics there. The museum opened its doors the June 2nd 1927 under the name of “ House Paula Becker-Modersohn ” ( Paula-Becker-Modersohn-Haus ). Roselius had indeed expressed the desire to make appear the name of young girl of Paula in first. The collection of Ludwig Roselius could then extend regularly by the means of new acquisitions and, starting from 1978, thanks to the financial support of the Foundation Paula Modersohn-Becker.
The museum in addition contains a whole of Sculpture S, tables and of Dessin S of Bernhard Hoetger, and a space is reserved for the temporary exhibitions.
