Museo dell\' Opera Metropolitana del Duomo
The Museum of the Work of the Cathedral to His (Italy), is built on the vestiges of the first cathedral started in 1339 and is stopped by the Grande Plague in 1348.
It contains on several stages and in the vault:
- Several of the original sculptures (very damaged) of the frontage of the cathedral,
- Several statues of Giovanni Pisano,
- a permanent exposure on the painter Duccio of which his Noli me tangere and its Maestà and of its stained glasses,
- Of many sculptures and tables various.
A passage by the upper floors makes it possible to reach the top of the famous section of wall of a frontage of the initial cathedral, the facciatone (which finished forever but gives a single sight on the city and the place of the Campo).
