Muscardine
A muscardine is an attack of a Insecte by a Champignon parasite.
This disease owes its name with the fact that the cocoons reached are covered with a cottony sleeping bag and a beautiful white which resembles known sugar refineries, called dragees (muscardin = dragee in Languedocien and Provençal).

Aspergillus flavus can infect colonies of Termite S ( Reticulitermes virginicus )
- Beauveria bassiana causes a white muscardine Silkworm (badly of segno) while Beauveria effusa causes a red of it.
- Empusa muscae on the Mouche domesticates ( Musca domestica )
- Metarhizium anisopliae is used within the framework of the biological Lutte to fight against the migrating Criquet or the Tsetse fly.
- Penicillium causes a muscardine green color on the Hanneton of the corn ( Anisoplia austriaca )
