Muscadier

The Muscadier ( Myristica fragrans ) is a tree of the family of the Myristicacée S.

Myristica fragrans is a tropical tree originating in the island of Brauda in the archipelago of the Moluques in Indonesia and which is cultivated now with the the Antilles and with the Grenade. Two close species provide less famous nuts.

Description

Trees of Myristica fragrans hout of the family of myristicacées which is of the family of primitive plants dicotylédones which includes/understands 300 species divided into nine kinds. The Myristica fragrans hout is a tree which can reach a dozen meters height and can be centenaries, the females only carrying the Fruit S.

The fruit, the Nutmeg, is of ovoid form.
