Muscadelle
The muscadelle is a white Cépage cultivated mainly in the Bordelais and the area of Bergerac from where it seems to be originaire.
One also finds the muscadelle one in other areas Viticole S like the Languedoc (Vignoble of Corbières) and the Roussillon (Collioure).
In the Of Bordeaux one, the muscadelle one is associated with the Sauvignon and the Sémillon to produce the white wines of Pessac - Léognan, with the Graves and famous the Sauternes. In the Dordogne, assembled with same type of vines, it gives rise to the dry Bergerac, with the Montravel, the Saussignac and not less famous the Monbazillac.
The muscadelle one provides large truncated bunches, with white spherical bays with gray-rosy, mouchetées with complete maturité.
It is a capricious type of vine, of débourrement late and average strength, sensitive to the Maladie S and the parasite S (worms of the bunch). But it matures quickly and its grains are very quickly attacked by the noble Pourriture (Botrytis cinerea), necessary to the realization of largest the Vin S Liquoreux.
This type of vine produces sweet wines and heady, slightly aromatic and little acids, with the discrete Parfum S of Muscat. Principal the Arôme S developed is the Chèvrefeuille and the Fleur of Acacia.
