Murnau amndt Staffelsee

Murnau amndt Staffelsee is a commune in High-Bavaria in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It has the statute of a market ( Markt Murnau amndt Staffelsee ). The painter Gabriele Münter lived and died in Murnau.

Murnau amndt Staffelsee is located in High-Bavaria at the foot of the the Alps beside the lake Staffelsee. The landscape around Murnau consists of hills of Préalpes and the marsh of Murnauer Moos . The distance from Munich account 70 km, from Garmisch-Partenkirchen 25 km and Castle Neuschwanstein 50 km.
