Muriel Degauque
Muriel Degauque , born in 1967 and of Belgian nationality , is the first woman of European origin to have perpetrated a suicide bombing in the name of the Islamisme.
Born in the area from Charleroi (Wallonia) in 1967, junior by a two year old brother her groin, Jean-Paul, who will commit suicide in an traffic accident in 1989, Muriel Degauque has a chaotic adolescence, marked by drug and the runnings away, and leaves the education system without diploma. She works then in the area as waitress, then baker, trade of which she is laid off under the charge, ever proven, to have flown in the case.
Initiated with the Islam by Algerian, the young girl changes her name into Myriam then meets Issam Goris, her companion, born from a Belgian father and a Moroccan mother, in 2002. This last makes it rock in Islamism, and after having vegetated a few years with Brussels where the couple survives thanks to the social securities, they leave for Iraq at the end of September.
Muriel Degauque commits suicide on November 9th, 2005 in the area of Baghdad, with the passage of an American convoy, by actuating its bomb. This attack will kill 5 police officers Iraqi. Issam Goris, to him will be killed a few days later by the American army, whereas it took part in another action kamikaze.
