History

Muramasa is an influential former member of the Mibu clan. It controls the art of regeneration and thus its body gives him the appearance of a man of about thirty years whereas it has some much more. He suffers from a terminal illness (the disease of dead) concerning exclusively Mibu. During the years which precede the action by the manga, he started to doubt its own clan, regretting the way whose this clan directs the Japan, he leaves it and becomes thus a threat for Mibu.

Muramasa was the fencing master of Kyo to the eyes of demon and of Kyoshiro Mibu, it is him which taught them a great part from their techniques of combat.

Muramasa is also a blacksmith of talent. It manufactured many weapons including four démoniaques, which has faculty to decide to which they will belong and its weapons manufactured are the following ones:

the Tenrô saber of Kyo to the eyes of demon,
red the Hokurakushimon lance of Tiger (the treasure of Tokugawa),
the Shibien saber of Sasuke Sarutobi,
the saber Hokuto Shishisei of Tokito.

Its Master who taught art to him to forge sabers is Julian but this last does not know the techniques of the Obscure Divine Wind, with share Genbu which he wanted to know to impress his Ian wife.

He dies after having taught the secret techniques of the obscure divine wind with Kyo.
