Multitudes
Multitudes is a review political, cultural and artistic, founded in 2000 by Yann Moulier-Boutang, director of the drafting. It is directed by the collective of Association Multitudes.
“Committed” on the ground of a left critical, Multitudes wants to be neither reformist, nor dogmatic, and opened with the plurality of the approaches of the transformation, beyond the only figure of the proletarian and of its Class consciousness, insufficient to today operate a change in social relations marked by the capitalist statu-quo . It would be thus disengaged from sterilizing organisational logics, and would make it possible to exceed theoretical executives imposed by the circumstances of the moment.
It had an unquestionable impact on the renewal of the theoretical and intellectual substrate of the Social movements in France and Italy. Undertaken research made emerge from the questions like the Intellectual property, the media Activisme and the Hacktivisme, the construction of the Europe or the total Guerre, concepts which belong to the theoretical approaches availability of the world movement.
The topics approached by the review are thus in a certain filiation of work of Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt and of their book Empire . One like the other try to make converge the philosophical and political thought of the Italian Opéraïsme and the radical French thought of the Seventies (Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari).
Multitudes , just like '' Variations '', succeeds the review Former Futur , rested by Antonio Negri and Jean-Marie Vincent.
Multitudes takes part in the social forums, in particular the FSE of Paris, and is thus recipient of the Mouvement altermondialist.
Quarterly review, Multitudes puts moreover the integrality of its texts on line, except the last four numbers. One will also find on the site the files of the reviews former Futur and Alice , like some texts resulting from the movements separatists Italian and French now untraceable (Negri, Tronti, Berardi, etc).
