Mulhacén

The Mount Mulhacén with its: 3482 m are more the high summit of the Iberian peninsula and the Western Europe after the tops of the the Alps. It is in the Province of Grenade, in the south-east of the Spain and belonged to the Sierra Nevada (chain Bétique).

Etymology

Its name comes from Muley Hacén (Castilian), or Mulay Abû Al-Hassan, penultimate king de Grenade with the XVe century. The legend says that it is buried at the top this mountain which accepted its name.
