Muflier

The Muflier or Large Muflier or Muflier with large flowers or Muffler or Gueule-de-lion (scientific name Antirrhinum majus ) is a herbaceous or shrubby Plante annual of the family of the Scrophulariacées (traditional Classification) or Plantaginacées (phylogenetic classification), originating in the Mediterranean basin.

The horticultural varieties are cultivated like decorative plants for their Fleur S, grouped in lengthened inflorescences. Their singular form is at the origin of the name of the plant. Moreover, when the sides of the flower are gripped, this one opens like a mouth.
