Mucharrif AD-Dawla Hassan

Mucharrif AD-Dawla Hassan ( Nobility of the empire ) was born in 1003. It is youngest of four wire of the emir bouyide of Iraq and of the Fars Bahâ' AD-Dawla Fîrûz. It succeeds to him Baghdad in 1021 until its death in 1025.

Biography

Bahâ' AD-Dawla dies on December 22nd, 1012, it leaves four wire:
  • Fannâ Khusraw which succeeds to him like emir of Iraq and of the Fars with the title of Sultan AD-Dawla ( Sultan of the empire ). :
  • Chirzîl is named governor of Bassora with the title of Jalâl AD-Dawla ( Splendeur of the empire ).
  • Abû Al-Fawâris is named governor of the Kermân with the title of Qiwâm AD-Dawla ( Soutien of the empire ).
  • Hassan is named governor of Iraq with the title of Mucharrif AD-Dawla ( Noblesse of the empire ).

To Baghdad, the competition enters the troops Turkish and the troops Daylam ites continuous to cause disorders. The arrival of Sultan AD-Dawla increases the number of the Daylam ites and their influence. In 1021, the mercenaries Turkish indicate Mucharrif AD-Dawla Hassan like their emir. After long negotiations, Sultan AD-Dawla recognizes his brother like “king d' Irak” an unknown title until there. Nevertheless Sultan AD-Dawla wants to take again the capacity directly. He invades Iraq with his army. He is overcome the troops of Mucharrif AD-Dawla so that Iraq becomes completely independent. Sultan AD-Dawla is expelled of Iraq, his name is not quoted more at the time of the prayers of Friday, Mucharrif AD-Dawla is Ru like new “the emirs of the emirs”. During the remainder of its reign in Iraq, Mucharrif AD-Dawla must calm the Turkish troops which carried it to the capacity.

In 1023 or 1024, the governor kakouyide of Ispanhan, Abû Ja `far “Went” AD-Dawla Muhammed invades Hamadân. It takes then Hulwân with the Banû Annaz. Mucharrif AD-Dawla constrained Kakouyides to be withdrawn from Hulwan, but they preserve Hamadân. Peace is concluded between the two families in the form of matrimonial alliances.

Sultan AD-Dawla dies in December 1024. His/her son `Imâd AD-DIN `Aldine Imâd Marzubân succeeds to him in Fars.

Mucharrif AD-Dawla dies in May 1025. Its succession is difficult because Mucharrif AD-Dawla does not have wire. His/her older brother Qiwâm AD-Dawla reign in Kerman, his puiné Jalâl AD-Dawla Chirzîl is governor of Bassora and Fars is directed by its nephew, `Imâd AD-DIN Marzûban. Jalâl AD-Dawla is designated as successor. The military chiefs support `Imâd AD-DIN which is prevented from entering to Iraq by Qiwâm AD-Dawla. Finally in October 1027, Jalâl AD-Dawla enters Baghdad and officially invests title “of emir of the emirs”.
