Mr. Shadows

Mr. Shadows (born Matthew Charles Sanders the July 31st 1981) is the singer of the group Avenged Sevenfold.

Biography

Shadows grew with Huntington Beach, in California in the Orange county. Mr. Shadows was, previously, member of a punk group named Successful Failure, and it is during this time that it wrote the song Streets , recorded later by Avenged Sevenfold. Some of its influences are NOFX, Rancid, Bad Religion, Guns Pink, Pantera and Metallica. Matt went in a Catholic school with Jimmy Sullivan (which will become later The Rev), the beater of Avenged Sevenfold.

Futilitées

  • In 2003, it had resorts to a minor chirurugie to repair its vocal cords which it exhausted by shout in its songs. After the exit of City off Evil, it has blame, on several occasions, its surgery to explain why their album was softer than its predecessors. In fact, much intend themselves to say that the true reason is that the members are from now on more mature, they evolved/moved and changed since they signed with the label Warner Brothers.

  • It supports the troops of the American army highly. Some of its friendly close relations are soldiers and currently deployed outside the United States. The song M.I.A. was written besides to pay homage to his/her buddies. But Shadows persists in saying, before each service of the song, that Avenged Sevenfold is not a group of music of the political type (like Green Day, for example) and that they do not intend to become one about it, moreover.
