Mr. Popo

In the Manga Dragon Ball , Mister Popo (or Mr Popo ) is the trusty servant of Kami-sama. It never leaves the celestial palate of its Master (put aside in the saga of Namek or it goes to the hospital or Its Gokû is neat to go to seek Bulma in order to show him a spaceship), located above the tower of the Maître Karin.

Physically, it has a very Eastern style, carrying a Turban, Babouche S, a waistcoat and earrings  ; its skin is completely Noir E and its ears are pointed. He speaks “Petit-nègre”.

One sees it for the first time in Dragon Ball when Its Gokû, child, goes to the sanctuary of Kami-sama after having overcome Piccolo Daimaô, to be involved there. He must beat Mister Popo to be able to meet Kami-sama but he is some unable, because this one envisages all its movements and against with its own way. Kami-sama agrees all the same to receive it and reveals to him inter alia it is Mister Popo which manufactured the Dragon crowned Shenron, to which it then gave itself the life. It is Mister Popo which deals with the drive of Its Gokû during the three following years to prepare it to face Piccolo, learning how to him in particular to discipline its spirit and to make the vacuum in him.

It is the only time in all the series which Mister Popo shows its qualities of combatant, because just like Kami-sama, it will be then exceeded by Its Gokû and its friends. One will see it at the time of the major crises implying the celestial sanctuary  : the combat against Garlic during which it takes along Kami-sama in a place known as the divine zone in order to spread magic water on ground (event exclusive with the televised series and completely absent from the original history), the saga Cell where it reveals in Its Gokû the existence of the special room of drive, the saga Boo where it is seen that it is now with the service of Dendé until the destruction of the celestial sanctuary by the monster.
